Default 2000 ec250 fork upgrade

Hi everyone,
I have a 2000ec250 with WP43 forks, and well, lets face it, they're not that great. They have recently been serviced & new seals by a mx mechanic and are ok in the woods. I love the bike and would love to find some better forks to slide right in the triples. I know this is the easiest way if the wheel and axle bolt up properly.
So whats out there that will fit?
I have a 2022yz250fx and the KYB set up is so good.

Loads of threads on kyb conversions here, but not many options for a slot in

I had the 48 sachs forks so just had to machine the top T-clamp bigger by a hair, then a braking adaptor for the 260 disk, used the standard GG wheel and bearings but machined some custom spacers to allow us to use a yz axle. I have a sketch of the spacers somewhere

only issue was the yamaha axle stuck out by about 15mm on the right of the bike, but never got round to shortening it, never hooked on anything

Easiest would be to find a front end from any of the newer GG up to 2011 as I think they all will just bolt on. I know some don't like them but I loved my Marzocchi 45mm Shivers I had on my '05 GG and my current Marzocchi PFP 48mm forks on my '11 even more.

You can make about anything work as long as you have the time and money. I put '96 KX125 KYB forks on my '90 KDX and have '06 KX250F 47mm Showa forks on my '98 KDX220.

The complete YZ front end is a pretty easy swap and you can get great results.
