Default 2011 GasGas 300 hundy six days review after 1 year!

Just writing my two cents on the bike, bought it new last year from Scotty(thanks alot again) coming off a honda 450r , So the plus side on this bike what i liked about it right away was how light and small it felt compared to the 450, especially cause i have short legs i can actually touch the ground on this wich makes life alot easier , i really like the power delivery in the tight technical stuff, alot more managable , the bike was lacking power in second low down until i changed the carb settings(awesome now for climbing), love the braking setup alot, just grabs with the slightest touch and no play at all in anything. Obviously the suspension isnt very good cause im 235 with gear on , so the rear is all over the place and the front is like a pogo stick is attached, however i read all these posts on here about people whining about supsension etc. when really all it takes is getting the supspension set up right for you and spending the 6-700 bux. u just spent 7-10 k why not throw in a few more bucks and make it right , saying that ,any good rider can ride this bike factory and still keep up to the best of riders. i figured that out last year. So why buy a bike out of the factory and complain about everything, its not suppose to come set up perfectly for you from the factory in the first place.(hence the aftermarket world) lets get some threads going about how much people love the engines and all the wicked parts it comes with compared to the stock ktm 300 (wich i was gonna buy) thank god i didnt. These gassers come with all the best parts and u really dont have to add much out of the crate wich is a huge plus considering i probably spent 2500 on the 450 honda just to make it somewhat trail bound.Definetly would never go back to a 4 stroke again. Over all im glad i bought this bike and look forward to riding it everytime i go out. Go gasgas !

Yep the GG bikes are sweet for sure. I had an 07 Honda 450R even with a Rekluse Pro it was only ok at trail riding. It is what it is.... a MX bike. I agree out the cardboard box the GG bikes are very close to woods race ready. Congrats and it sounds you are already enjoying.

Yes sir. I let my buddy which rides a crf450 and is a AA rider ride my 2011. 300 six days......he loved it. On thing he really like was that he did not have to use the clutch at all on our enduro course....he was impressed with the handling and the egos.

What needle are you running? I changed to a CCK and the bike pulls great in any gear. The stock needle was a dog.

yea the stock needle is absolutley terrible for here in alberta where we have some elevation. to be honest , my bro in law picked up claudes special needle from seitzco motorsports. so im not sure what needle it is.. but i will find out and let you know. it might be the cck john is talking about!

and yea john i agree the 450r is a dope ass mx bike.. but shitty in the bush even with all the money in upgrades. just a little to wild and outta control power. i loved to let it loose at the track though. the gas gas is a boss though in the tight stuff and climbing anything !

The Red Needle is the leaner needle, correct?

Red is leaner (has a larger shank diameter which reduces the amount of fuel passing through at idle and part throttle).
