Default Hose Clamps Removal?

What's the best way to remove the stock clamps on the radiatior hoses. I'm used to the ones with a screw. The reason I'm asking is my girlfriend surprised me with a set of red hoses and I can't wait to put them on. Thanks in advance.

Alan

Use a metal pick , insert in the clip opening. Gently pry up to release.
Use a pair of needle nose pliers to reclamp.

A small screwdriver will disconnet them too.

The stock clamps are great. I really like how clean they look and they are easy to undo and do back up. But they should only be cycled a few times before you replace them with new ones. I had one come undone on my 125. It had quite a few cycles on it though. The screw type hose clamps will fail just the same too.

You can also open them with pliers by going from corner to corner diagonally

The little hole just screams insert screwdriver here!! Putting them on is easy with the pliers too! I'm a fan.

How often do you suggest replacing? And does anyone know where we can get these? Do most hardware stores stock them or should I be looking elsewhere? Do they have a particular name?

@ Jakobi : I use something similar to the stock clamps in my business and we call them "Oetiker" Clamps The drink and beverage industry has been using them for many years ! I use them for more permanent hose clamp connections ..

Buy a whole kit!! http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Oetiker-C...-/230611890230

Looks like the Oetiker is the manufacturer. The actual clamp is a "stepless 1 ear clamp"
