electric shocks!
i have recently been getting shocks when i pull the front brake on my 06 ec200, ive checked all the wiring and nothing is shorting out. is this a common problem? and could it be the lead to the spark plug somehow shorting through a radiator hose that it is touching?? cheers

I want to keep an eye on this thread.... Same thing happened
on my 2002 XC300 a few years ago. I never found any specific cause, and the problem seems to have gone away. Funny, the two specific times it happened I happened to be almost directly underneath High Voltage power transmission lines. ya think?!?!? Check your kill switch for shorts. If it is only a single wire unit. That might be the path to your shocking adventures. I have sinced changed my XC into an EC with a new wiring harness and switch gear. So that may be why my problem is gone. Good luck. Jeff So. Cal. |
