New Guy Ohlins Shock Q
Hey Guys,
I have on 03 EC 200 with an Ohlins shock and Im a dirt bike beginner. I have ridden about 4 times without really messing with the suspension. Today I looked up in the manual the baseline settings for the compression and rebound dampening and reset them. I guess my question is if the shock still feels to spongy or springy next time i ride i should Crank up both settings? By turning them clockwise? Also I live in IL where the state parks are off limits to bikes. So I have to ride at one of the local riding parks. Most of them have some ok trails but focus on motorcross tracks as well. I am wondering will this bike have any problems taking MX style jumps? I have never messed around with suspension before so any advice is appreciated. I am about 170lbs if that helps. Thanks, Sam |

"google" Race sag for more information than you can
digest before lunch. Kind of like: http://www.4strokes.com/tech/racesag.asp and http://www.dirtrider.com/tech/141_04...ike/index.html and http://www.mb1suspension.com/id8.html and http://www.tootechracing.com/suspension_tips.htm ---------------- There are some very complete instructions in the GasGasRiders archives here also, that cover GasGas specific suspension requirements. Try them, You'll be glad you did. Enjoy. Jeff So.Cal. |
