06 300 o-rings on crank? rebuild advice
Getting sorted with ordering bits for rebuild after right main failed. When I split cases found an o-ring, think it fell of crank at back of main bearing. Can someone tell me how this area should all look. Is there supposed to be an o-ring either side of spacer between bearing race and balancer plate that seal runs on? seal compltely destroyed too, anyone have number for it so I can buy from bearing supplier locally instead of paying gas gas prices.
Came across another couple of o-rings ( dropped out)when popping out output drive shaft, think they were either side of spacer that seal runs on there too, am I right? Yet to get left side main inner race of crank, no special tools available, reckon on very carefully splitting it with small angle grinder?? Heat gun no good. Any advice welcomed, just got cases split and away with work yet again so this looks like being longest rebuild in history. |

Heres the shop manual, unless you have already got it.
