Default Rekluse on an older Gasser: Worth it?

I've got an '03 EC250 that is in really great shape. Everything on the bike is now in perfect running order and it is loaded with every add-on imagineable. I actually had the bike, sold it for a EC300, sold the EC300 to FarmerJ, and found my old EC250 on craigslist, bought it back

Between myself and previous owner, the bike is in amazing condition.

I was thinking of buying a newer Gasser this year, was thinking a EC200 or even KTM200, but with a EC200 in our garage (my son's bike), I am thinking that I will just hold on to the '03.

So, I have been longing for an auto-clutch for a long time and was wondering if it is a good investment into and older bike?

I really cannot think of anything that can go catastrophic, and even though it is an '03, it really is in great shape with full Ohlins suspension, full FMF (new), Scotts stabilizer, full woods guards, trials tire, etc, etc.

I think adding a Rekluse would make this bike unbelievable in the woods and am willing to invest a bit into the bike since I am not going to be adding a new bike this year.

Any thoughts?

If your bike is in good shape, no problem. The Rekluse will fit on a newer one as well, should you eventually decide to upgrade.

Yep I'd go for it. Haven't had the pleasure of having one on a 2-stroke yet but did put the Pro on my 07 Honda 450R and it was sweet. When I sold the bike I put it back to stock and sold the Rekluse. Didn't end up costing me much that way.

Go for it! I'm going to see if the one in my 07' will fit in the 97'? If it does then I will order another Rekluse for it.

Or....

Maybe just pick up the local 2000 KTM200 with Rekluse already added for $1200! Only $300 more than the rekluse for my Gasgas! Hmmm....

I've been looking hard at the new core exp for my '03 ec250. Also I want to look at their new outer clutch basket for GG. If it flows oil to the plates better, I'll probly get the whole package. I need to find out which frictions I'll need to get for proper stack height too. I have a Dynaring in it now, but never could get it dialed in right. But what a difference it made in the technical riding department. The Rekluse looks to be built well, easy to adjust, and hopefully should last a long time.

I think I am going to give them a call.

It looks to me like the only choice is the full Core Exp. which comes with everything I believe.

Leaning pretty heavy toward getting one, just looking for others experience. I have read all of the posts on this site and there is certainly some debate and likes vs dislikes.

I would be interested in those who are weekend warriors and who ride terrain that is similar to the NW.

I love my Core EXP. I don't race. I bought the auto clutch to help with wrist problems and it helps more than I could have imagined. It was easy to install and adjust and even easier to get used to not clutching. I also tend to let the bike idle in gear during short stops so I end up having to start my bike less than half as many times over the course of a days ride. Hills are much easier even if you don't make them and have to go back down for another run.
