Noisy clutch while its engaged
Hi I have a 07 ec250, over the winter I did a complete rebuild of the engine, every bearing and seal was replaced, crank was rebuilt and the top end was replaced. I just recently got around to breaking the engine in, at first it ran great then it began loading up, long story short, I knicked the right side crank seal and it was burning oil. While I had the clutch back apart, i replaced the clutch basket with a Barnett basket that i had from a parts bike. Now that its running again I have a growling/bearing sound that goes away when I pull the clutch in. I used my new bearings with the basket, everything looked good on the Barnett basket. Just looking for some help on what to look for when I pull it back apart. Thanks

What you described sounds like "roll over" noise.
That's the transmission gears meshing together. I would try a differed transmission fluid. |

I've been running type f atf, I'll try a different fluid tomorrow and see if it helps.

I changed the oil with amsoil 10 40, and it did not change the noise at all. Any other ideas of what it could be?
