I really want to try some pivot pegs one of these days. They seem like a great idea, especialy for hill climbs.

It´s not a bad idea remove the pins and put an M10 screw (and nut) on place.
This help the frame not broke on the pegs area.

I wasn't always hard on my pegs. It's just that I have soo much confidence in my bike that I charge a little hard at times. Most of my peg damage comes from catching rocks on the inside of turns while leaned over. I tend to worry more about my size 8 feet getting smashed than the pegs.

I had the pivot pegs and loved them, untill I snapped them off whilst jumping a double jump.(not good!) I then lost confidence in them and got fastways no problems with these yet. But I do miss the pivoting action.
