We had 35 riders at the annual Black Friday ride after Thanksgiving. Next big ride will be New Years Day but there's usually 2-6 riding about every weekend through out the winter season. Come join us anytime. - Ken 931-854-8037

Oil talk..

I go with the actual oil manufacturers recommendations over the bike manual or interwebs babble. The companies making the stuff are out to achieve 2 things, a product that works well, and a profit. Its in there best interest to specify a ratio that achieves the best of both worlds.

I use Amsoil Dominator and from their website "DOMINATOR delivers outstanding protection at 50:1 (2.6 oz. oil per U.S. gallon of gas), although many racers modify the mix ratio to suit their setup." I tend to go between 45:1 to 50:1. In the 250 I just did a top end and ring end gap was 0.58mm for both rings at 85hrs with very little blow by and still a fair amount of coating on the piston. Cylinder looks mint.

Motul 710 at 50 to 1. Why? Cause that's what the manual says. No spooge to boot!

The math is pretty easy too ... 20ml per litre. Given that I buy my gas in litres, it's hard to get it wrong.

The 710 burns alot cleaner than the 800T2. I have switched from the 800 to the 710 on my Gas'er, @ 40:1.

The YZ125 is still running 800 @ 32:1.

As soon as I get the Gas'er back together, were going to be trying Rock Oil's 2 stroke line up.
