1999 ec250

I'm new on this forum sorry if this is a repost but couldn't find what I wanted with the search.

Firstly I'm going to rebuild the engine next week mainly for peace of mind ready for the winters green laning.

The biggest reason for prompting this is I have a fair bit of end float on my crank not up and down like when mains are worn but more in and out. The flywheel pulls in and out about 3mm. I'm certain this isn't normal!!

And finally where is the best and cheapest place for rebuild parts?
Piston
Conrod kit (cr250?)
Gasket set?
All bearings and seals will come via my trade supplier I use for bearings at work.

My 99 EC 200 is the same way. It has end play,but no up and down play. There was a thread a few years back on this subject. If i remember correctly it is due to a different type of crank bearings..... Mine have been like this for years...and no issues at all.

As for parts GoFasters or any of the dealers can get your parts.

I'm pretty sure no one has posted before about rebuilding your bike, but it is a 99 so maybe a previous owner could have, can't rule it out for certain

Woosner pistons seem to be good quality & cheap from many sources, but no idea where you are based. So I'll assume you are also from New Zealand & can recommend where I bought mine from.
