Have you looked under your skid plate?
Pulled mine off of my 2012 200 to fix my stripped crankcase drain plug.....I see the oil drain plug, the crankcase drain plug and a very small hole between the two in the engine casing.....any idea what that is?

Vent hole for the flywheel side of the engine. It can also let water out of that area if the flywheel cover vent gets plugged.

when I looked under my skid plate I saw that my frame rails were all smashed in. I'll never use a plastic skid plate again.

That's what mine looks like too. But I love the way the plastic slides on rocks. I'm just trying to be better about not bashing the bike on stuff and hitting it with my back tire instead. Lol!
