Default 450 Timing setup

So I had to replace my head gasket and am going to have to retime and check the valve clearence on the bike. Got the Valve specs but the manual has no info about determining TDC on the crank. Can I pull off one of the covers and see a notch or line or something? The cam side seems easy with the pin counting and the lines etc. I just need a way other than watching the piston to be sure of TDC as there is a bit of leeway on that from the eye.

I'm sure there are som markings if you open the center plug of the flywheel cover.

Opened the center plug with the screwdriver slot and just see a nut. So I took off the left side case cover and cant seem to find a single mark on any of the gears or anything.

Well I finally found it, not really obvious in the manual but you have to center the 7th tonewheel, the one close to the single hole on the stator rotor. Still makes me leary because of the degrees of play, I guess I will see once I check valve clearence and watch the cams.
