I haven't ridden the 525 yet. Hopefully will get my first ride on it this weekend. It's got a lot to live up to as the Goldentyre GT523KX in 120/100 is my gold standard when it comes to traction here in Southern AZ. The 525's kind of reminds me of the 523KX so hopefully it performs as well.

Joined the forum. Bought a 2001 XC 250 and started in on it. Cleaned carb and checked jetting, dumped fuel from tank and put in new, need to get kick starter built up welded. Went through clutch hydraulics, Ordered brake pads. Hope to hear it run for the first time tomorrow. Hi from Baraboo WI!

I did a little service work. Together with my 5 year old grandson, we replaced chain / sprockets, gearbox oil and air filter. The chain and sprockets have been with me for approx 180 hours. Not bad at all.

Like He said, please post photos of your bike. I rode in a trials meet near Baraboo in 2002 (or so). I think they said it was near "The Dells". Beautiful country you have up there. Do they let ya'll ride any of those pretty trails there? Good Riding to You!

On Monday, I moved my big-volume exhaust valve cover from my 2006 to the 2015 EC200. On Tuesday, I used it for two hours. And Yes, it works! It did work well on the 06 200, and it works nicely on the 15 200 as well.

The oversized powervalve cover was originally developed specifically for the 200 GasGas.
(Louis Tafta made and sold them after designing one for his 1999 EC200. Louis was the first to make the inline coolers for our bikes.) The oversized pv cover really helps when usable low end torque matters.

You're welcome.
To me, the really cool thing about the oversized powervalve covers is that they "don't cost you anything". There is no compromise with using one. (When using an intake spacer, it affects the power from bottom to top. It is a compromise.) The oversized pv covers do their work at low rpms. When the powervalve moves as the rpms rise, the left power valve area is taken out of the exhaust circuit and no longer figure into the power equation. No compromise for the benefit.
