Default 2012 EC 200R Jetting Help

TLDR
running 175 40 NECJ #1 - slightly too rich. NECK needle a good idea?

Story
So I've been slowly trying to tweak the jetting on my bike since I bought it last year. I think I'm about where I would like it to be performance wise except the bike is spooging a lot. Running down the pipe and building up on the swing arm a lot.

When I got the bike I immediately thought it was running too rich. Tried to adjust the clip position but the nipple that the throttle cable sits in was stripped pretty badly from the last owner. Ordered the new one, changed to #1, still felt rich, spark plug looked decent, maybe slightly too oily. The last owner must have changed the needle since there was a necj instead of the stock n1ef.

Later on in the summer I intermittently ran into a problem where engine was bogging very slightly with throttle 3/4ish to fully open on very steep stuff. I cleaned the air filter and brought it in to local GasGas guys. I had them replace the silencer packing and give it a tune. They recommended changing the pilot to a 40 from a 42, fine with me. Even later on down the road, bike was running great but still spooging quite a bit. Something that I thought was interesting was that before changing the pilot, I could easily kick over the bike in gear when it was warm, after that tune it was still easy to kick over in neutral and more difficult in gear. No biggie.

So I'm thinking I should try and maybe go one diameter bigger than the NECJ and try the NECK? I'd also like to not be in the #1 clip position so I have freedom to tweak things either way. I was also considering that a topend rebuild may be a solution if the bikes running well except the excell oil although there was some riding I was doing in Utah last year at lower elevation and did not have any spooge issues.

I'm fairly inexperienced and new at this so thought I would ask you all before diving much further down the jetting rabbit hole without a little advice.

Also, I live around 5.5k feet of elevation and typically ride anywhere from 5.5k(1700m) to 10k feet (3km) above msl. Climate is anywhere from 50f(10c) to 90f(32c).

Thanks!
