Default Pipe options '11 EC200

I read through a whole bunch of old threads and decided to post another one as I think it would help consolidate all the information for any other 200 owners out there; seemed there was lots of advice sought, but not a ton of information for the newer 200s (appreciate john rb's message ).

I have now sent two emails to FMF and haven't heard a thing back, they have pipes listed up to 2005, but nothing afterward. My guess is they don't make a pipe for the late model 200 specifically, but it would at least be nice to have a response letting me know for sure. That lack of customer service drives me nuts(er).

So, in researching things, it appears there are a couple options for the newer 200 crowd:
  • DEP
  • Scalvini

Are there any others I haven't come across? And are the two options that are available going to either keep the power down low or enhance it? Reviews I read from the Scalvini pipe make me think it moves the power up to the top...which isn't where I want it. I haven't been able to dig up much on the DEP pipe on a 200 - most everything was on the 300s.

Essentially, I'd like to either get a spare pipe in case I crush mine (probably a when, not if...lol) or some type of guard. I've already tried the P3 guard and it does not fit a newer 200 and I don't think e-line or any of the other folks have actually made something to fit the 200 pipe (probably not cost effective - which I get).

Thanks

I think your options are pretty narrow....Doma & HGS does not list the 200 at all. Messico is the same, 125, 250 & 300 that it.

Scalvini's look great, but I'dve read that fitment is not great and they are more a topend pipe as well. My buddy had one his Husky 144 and it had several pin hole leaks in the welded seams....for a high dollar pipe, that should not happen.

How's it work for you, and did you have to do anything drastic to the jetting to get it to work correctly?

That one review from a British enduro magazine (I think) has me skeptical about using a non-200 pipe; I definitely don't want to lose any of my low-end power.

I had my head done to increase low end. I really don't see any other options here in the US
