Default Body armour

What body armour do you all wear? As mine is now rubbing the back of my neck raw now i'm standing up more!

I wear a Stern suit at the minute but the Thor Quadrant is looking good.

I wear on older EVS Ballistic that is about wore out. Next year it will need replaced.

This is it. It's at least 5-6 years old now, maybe older.

Try the Forcefield body Armour. Because its soft it doesn't rub. When I first used it it was bizarre, it was like rolling downhill wrapped in a duvet. I have never understood the argument for hard outer, soft inner armour. I'm not a turtle. I know it is supposed to spread the impact over a wider area, I think all it does is pass the impact to the joints.

Armour is a personal thing dependent on too many factors including ,faith and belief as well as knowledge. If you survive a fast tumbling fall, was it the armour or luck. What we need is someone to act as a test dummy. No not me.All they have to do is say 10 jumps off the bike at, say 60mph onto hard soil with boulders , then repeat with the different suits.

Never seen the Forcefield Body Armor -- Looks nice.

In regards to chest protector - I recently purchased the Leatt Chest Protector Adventure Lite. My reason for going with the Leatt is that this one works perfect with my Leatt neck brace!! It is very light and I like it as I can wear it over my jersey.

i am running the leatt combo also.. i like it very well.. i am a c1-c2 fracture survivor, so i always wear a brace...

on a side note, i had an evs cp and neck brace.. took a pretty good fall and broke the brace, they refunded 100%, but it was not a hard enough fall to break it imho, so i bought the leatt...

I do not want to take over this posting, but am curious what you are all wearing for knee protection or knee brace?

How does that soft armor perform against hard pointy impacts? I have heard of some new generation soft armor that changes density when gets a hard hit.
A few weeks ago I tried to ride thru what looked like a small leafy broken branch crossing the trail and got jousted off my bike by a downhill pointing tree tip that was maybe 2" in diameter, and turned out to be the top of a 50' lodgepole pine. It hit me square in the middle of my old Fox Airframe hard plastic roost guard. I was unscathed, but wonder what would have happened without that plastic barrier.
The Fox CP is ok but does not offer very good side protection, and I still end up with damaged ribs every now and then. Therefore, tomorrow I'm picking up a new A-stars A-8 protection vest. It has at least some side protection and will integrate with a Astars neck brace when I upgrade my system.
I'll get back with a review when I get some crash time in the new rig.

I'm looking at the leatt under jersey cp too. Hoping to go with the neck brace and cp this year still. A lot of $ to pop down all at once. I had a fractured T-1 but not on the bike. Need a lighter helmet too. The heavy helmet gives me neck pain after long days. I run the fox airframe also, don't trust the soft cp's as too many sharp pointy pines in the woods and I've trashed many cp's over the years.

troy lee designs shock doctor 7705 pants (my buddy got the hw "hot weather" version but they have a little less padding then mine) mine get warm I see why they made a warm weather version but I like the extra padding... and I wont have to change up gear for riding in the snow

I got the pants so I didn't need the knee socks for my asterisk cell knee braces (acl reconstruction on both knees my cti knee braces are bulkier and less knee cap protection, and the straight across the back of the tension straps pinch the skin behind my knee which usually resulted in more pain then 90% of my wipe outs, but both really help keep my knees together)

the troy lee shock doctor 7588 hw long sleeve shirt.... fits me good and has saved me from a few big get offs this year... I questioned its durability when i got it, but its taking a beating good so far.

ogio fight vest... I know its technically not armour really, but it feels like another layer before I directly hit the ground and the water bladder is a little extra spine protection. I like the better balance it has then everything on your back

suomy mr jump helmet .... I wish I knew what a lighter helmet does for you a lot longer ago then I did

alpinestar tech 8 boots, the removable inner boot makes back to back to back days a lot drier to start and help keep the funk to a minimum

I work shift work and can ride from my garage so I get to put about 3-4000 km. a year on my 11 ec 300 and this is by far the most comfortable and best protection combo I've had in...... ever. if I can replace worn out pieces with same stuff in the future I will. I don't heal up like I used to so getting hurt in the first place is not an option. less injury time = more riding
