Flywheel weights
Anybody use these? what Size? What do u think of the results etc... ?
I got a 2008 ec 300 with the wires coming out @ the 10:00 position and was thinking about trying a 8oz flywheel weight and was just wondering what I could expect from that. |

Just did a search and looks like a weight & a G2 throttle may be the ticket, but what size weight should I get ? any suggestions. is 12 too much ,8 not enough?

I have both a 10 and a 14 for my 250, G2 also. I mixed it up a lot but now run the 14 oz with the 200 cam almost all the time in the technical woods. What I found is with the G2, the weight is less important. Its all personal preference, fast guys generally like less especially in faster terrain.

Seems like a g2 for sure.
Now what size FWW do I want. There seems to be a wide variety of preferences. Is the stealthy worth the extra money. It says its bolt on no drilling neccessary Do you have to drill & tap the gasgas weights? |

I have an 06 300 that I run a steahly 10oz and g2 400 cam on. I might pick up a 14 oz just to try it. If you like snappy power go w/less weight, if you like a big lump of a motor go with more

I ended up breaking down and picking up a 14oz. fww. I am so glad I did. My bike runs great is much smoother and still has snap when I crack the throttle. The only thing I'm thinking now is going to the 200 cam on the G2 instead of the 400.

Yeah, the 200 cam works great on he 250. I end to think the 300 will like the 400 cam as there is more snap off idle.

Wow , Thanks for all the great input . Its great to have a site like this !
Now has anybody ever had Their radiator patched? (the reason for the G2 & weight) bent mine a little and trying to straighten it I punctured it with the radiator guard bolt. I know you can fix the leak ,but can they straighten the sides too or do I have to buy a new one if I want everything to line up good? |
