Default front disc floating issue

I have a nice 2017 250 pro TXT, that I noticed that the front disc is very loose, the floater buttons allow the disc to make a ticking noise when spinning the wheel. I know suppose to allow some movement, but this seems excessive. I ordered a set of buttons, which are on the way, as a precaution, but I figured I would ask around for opinions.

I'm guessing you've checked, but are any of the "floater buttons" themselves loose?

They did appear loose, only four of them. Received the new buttons today and installed them. Took up the front to back slack, but the movement side to side is still there, which I guess is normal. You're in Salem, I used to be the service manager/mechanic at Eugene Suzuki, back in the late "70"s.

Strange, I just wobbled my '14 front disc as was in garage. Bit of movement perceptible, just a bit. Certainly no noise when riding that I remember. Well, occasional pad squeal.

Finished a trial last weekend and let one of the local shop guys listen to the disc, he said it was not suppose to be that loose, even with the new buttons. Ordered a new disc and on receiving it, found that the holes in the old one were worn about a millimeter larger than the new one. installed new disc, no noise.
