Well I hope you get her fixed! Do'nt frett it must be a simple fix. Again those Gasser engines are pretty tough and have not changed mush in years for a reason!

I second that. What makes you certain its a powervalve fault? The PV configuration is rock solid and very simple. It shouldn't be hard to diagnose something here. The gassers definitely take a bit more to set up perfectly than some other brands. They still have their quirks, and they still don't have the same build quality as some other euro brands and imo not even close to the japs. They do however come with a lot of goodies which saves you on aftermarket, and once dialled in will easily see out 10 years of quality riding with not much more than basic maintenance.

i do agree about what you get on the bike i think its the pv because the way it runs i toke the cover off and had a lot of play in the linkage

Got to get it somewhere that knows what they are doing. My old 05 and a buddy has a 05 and I have had other gassers and I guess never even had to clean the powervalve or think about it. Like was said once dialed should be pretty badas/ and hope not troublesome. Again let us know. Thanks.

If its just the powervalve linkage thats sloppy its very very simple to adjust/tension up. Also very easy to pull the whole valve flapper and bearings out. Doable with the engine assembled and still in the frame. A bit of a search will turn up some good results or I can post further details for you later.

Cheers

There is a really good current thread with pics of all the components under the RHS engine cover and which ones to adjust. Just be sure not to remove the cover if anything is pressing against the shift shaft when you have the bike laid over.

Also try to avoid pulling on the actuator arm while its connected to the governor. It can disloge the ball bearings and cause issues. The other trick others like to use is to apply a little heat to the nylon locknut on the actuator plate before removing. A couple people have snapped the shaft off the plate being too aggressive.

Just checked and all this info is in the sticky - http://www.gasgasrider.org/forum/sho...t=9517&page=10

You have to determine if its the PV parts in the cyl, or the gov/linkage binding. First guess is the rod on the case. If its the cyl parts it should be easy to find, perhaps a small burr, although I have never heard of this before.
