Nissin Front Brake Pin

It has been way to long time since I had to replace front brake pads so I have a question.

Is the brake pad retaining pin reverse thread? You know, that crappy hex head countersunk pin.

I tried to lossen it both ways, but no go, starting to round out the hex head. I also tried a little heat....still no luck.

Looking for some advice.....

sounds like some is going to need an easy out!! As far as I know it is standard thread.

Skid is right, get a new pin and be sure to use anti-seize while your at it
pull rear pins and use anti-seize on them also.

i replace both of my pins with the aftermarket ones that are not recessed. one stuck one and you'll switch everyone so you don't have to go through the hassle...

Where did you get the after market pin from? Moose?

i buy them from my local shop. they are the zip-ty ones..

What year rear KTM pad cross over to the my 99 EC200 w/ Brembo Caliper? I know I have it in my notes at home.....but that does not help me at the office!

Isnt the front caliper from nissin the same at 98-08 GasGas?
In that case, KTM 300 2010 front brake pads fits my Nissin 2007. (300EC)

i still have the oem pin in, normal thread, i was concerned at the amount of slack play (fit) on all my allen keys, so il need to replace it soon.

The EBC MX-S brake pads come with a free hexhead pin. Just an option.
