I prefer the toilet. I like to think I'm donating it to the Dolphins.

So you buy a euro bike and put cheap shit Chinese knock off parts, and you think that a $25 Chinese copy (probably illegal) is of same quality as a genuine Nissin MC ...you delusional tightass

I was trying to diffuse the situation when a very angry man was getting abusive.

While OE parts tend to be higher quality, many of us have had OE parts fail too. I have used the knockoff versions and I have rebuilt the stock ones. I had one knockoff fail out of the box and the ebay seller sent me another and it has been working fine for >5yrs. I chose to spend roughly 20% of OE prices and that suits my purpose. For many people this is an expensive hobby especially if you have multiple kids in college that also ride dirtbikes. It is all about personal choice!

Hell I'm just a cheap ass and have had no problem with them. Once upon a time Japanese stuff was considered inferior.

I'll use whatever I wish on my bikes. Like running All Balls or Pivot Works bearings vs OEM. I learn what brands work and which ones don't and buy accordingly in the future. If you want to write a blank check to cover all my future parts buying then I'll run whatever you wish on my bike!

Resulting to childish name calling when someone shares what they have used with success, but you don't agree with for whatever reason, or someone making a joke to lighten the mood, is BS we don't need on this forum. Please take that attitude over to Vital or one of the other crap talking forums. We actually try to help each other here and don't need nor want that crap.

OK then!

I finally got off my ass and BLED the front brake, seems to work fine now. But thanks for the link to the Hond (knockoff?) front brake MC, I have no problem using something like that if the need arises.

UPDATE: Front brake holds pressure now, except the lever feels like the system is pressurized......no "free" play once the lever makes contact with the MC plunger, and it's a HARD lever, and there is insufficient braking action for that amount of lever pull.

I also overfilled the reservoir, because you can't see any air above the fluid level in the window and I thought MAYBE that was causing it, but it just occurred to me the the CALIPER is probably frozen!? So yeah, now the search is on for a replacement caliper or rebuild kit. The casting is featureless as far as I can tell, I assume it's a Nissin?
