Contact Smiths Powersports in PA. They carry a pretty good replacement that is not very expensive made by a company called Flanders.

I have the same issue. Pisses me off. I sent them an email about it and never even heard back.

I just made a few custom bolts with the threads cut off in the center. Took a few minutes and works fine. Faster than bitchin' to them about it, which I'm sure they have heard by now.

Obvious incorrect fastener + non-existent customer support = no interest in buying their product.

Unfortunately it doesn't solve the biggest problem for me, which is wear of the tip pivot and a subsequent sloppy shifter. You can make it as pretty and beefy looking as you want but its still aluminum and will wear fast in muddy conditions. Mine is a only a couple months old and developing play already. I figured this would happen but needed something quick and there was no alternative. I want a shifter with a STEEL pivot, or a design where the bearing surfaces can be replaced. My bro's Husky 250 is still running the same steel shifter for over eight years!

True, but they should have offered to send the correct bolt to me.

I spoke with HammerHead people at the dealer show in Dallas, weekend before last, and they said the GG shifter is probably going to be dropped due to lack of demand. I was hoping to get them on board with the brake pedal but....
I cited Clay's hard work and the number of bikes he has brought in, along with new dealer network, hopefully they will look into keeping GG part #s. I know they are not perfect but one of the things that will help grow the brand is the availability of after market parts and upgrades at affordable prices. If Hammer Head stays maybe others will join in and then customer service, product performance will become an issue for all the parts suppliers.
I have the shifter and I put a reduced head (8mm) bolt in place of the allen with no issues to date and I've been running it over a year now
