I believe they are sold directly from them only.

The Smart Carb and Lectron require you to find the correct taper needle that will work in your bike for all load and throttle applications. I think a better option is the STIC metering block for the stock Keihin. The STIC does a much better job of fuel atomization and faster transitional fueling while retaining the ability to adjust individual parts of the fuel curve with stock jets and needles. Each bike is different and requires fine tuning of the carb specifically for the application and rider.

I bought a STIC for my GG 327 big bore at the end of last year and it made a huge difference. I could tell a difference in starting, idle quality, throttle response and top end power.

My 327 was jetted well before I installed the STIC and I can honestly say this STIC made a noticeable difference across the board on my bike. I posted my results on Thumpertalk https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic...ad-stic-xc300/

I feel like I've been under a rock lol, have just recently heard of the STIC... glad you hear your feedback. I'll read your trip report for sure!

My 14 300 is jetted well with a Suzuki needle, but I'm kinda desperate for better fuel mileage since there's no oversize tank available for my bike

I just installed four more STICs in the rest of our GG bikes, (125, 250x2 and 300). I will report back including mpg in 2 weeks after our trip to Tennessee.

Anyone mind guessing which STIC kit I would need for my 14 300 with non-screw top pwk?
I see options for .114 .115 and .116 needle jets.
I ride from 3000 to 7000 ' 5 to 30celcius average of 20c
I've been using NEDJ and NEDW needles

Contact George Boswell at 1-715-479-7822. George has been very helpful and he is the designer of the STIC.

Those interested in purchasing the SmartCarb can do so directly here: https://smartcarbfuelsystems.com/shop/ or through a local dealer if available. SmartCarb's top dealers are given here: https://smartcarbfuelsystems.com/dealers/

My name is Nathan and I am the VP of Production at SmartCarb Fuel Systems. Happy to answer any questions about the technology.

Not exactly true. SmartCarb and Lectron both pre-select the correct metering rod for the application's needs, taking into account YMM, engine/exhaust modifications, riding style(s), and fuel selection/oil mix ratio. For SmartCarb's part and for common applications like GasGas and Rieju bikes we nail it pretty much every time. We have a long history with GasGas especially, having been to the old factory in Girona and at one point having an OEM contract circa 2014 before their well-known financial woes put that to bed.

The STIC, like other conventional jet/needle carburetors, does not atomize fuel more finely than a metering rod does. And it's a misnomer that a single circuit fuel system can't operate optimally at all throttle positions/loads. The SmartCarb does that very effectively by way of integrated float bowl venting - a feature that neither Lectron nor other carb designs have (patented). And that's just one reason why we're seeing more and more top level racers use it, like Alfredo Gomez last weekend at Ditrocks, Romania: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CusM2...RlODBiNWFlZA==
