Post estart headlight turn signal replacement options

Forgive me if this was already covered in an earlier thread. I can't seem to find much so I thought I'd post a new thread.

I'm looking for an after market replacement for my start / kill / headlight switch. I don't need turn signals and would like to find something with a smaller footprint.

I've been looking through the sicass racing options.

http://sicassracing.com/store/switch...c39c33e7b00bd4

I am considering splitting it up between two switches but would prefer just a headlight / kill / start switch. Let me know if anybody else out there has found something.

The switch you linked is a good choice. I installed one on my bike. I don't have signals mounted, so I'm using only the HI/LO and horn button (and LEDs).

To keep all functions on one switch you could wire the turn signal switch as a kill switch (both left and right will stop the engine). You could use the horn button as a start button (momentary for estart). The HI/LO would connect normally.

There is also a row of 3 LED indicators on top of the switch (red/yel/blue). They can be individually connected or not used at all. Some time spent working with a multimeter will allow you to "map out" the circuits inside the switch.

On my setup I wired two Radio Shack momentary push buttons. Black one beside the throttle for estart. Red one beside the clutch for kill. I have a horn on my bike since it is handy for signalling buddies on the trail.

Thanks Neil, I'm hoping somebody puts a link up to some super awesome mini switch that does everything. But I think I have decided to go with two switches. I wish there were a way to integrate a couple SMALL switches on the handlebar mount. I saw some interesting controls on the adventure rider site.

Thanks again for taking a few minutes to reply to my post.

Here is my bike leaning on a tree; lots of stuff on the bars.

Default Controls / mounting

What kind of mount is that for your voyager? You've got quite a bit going on there! Nice and neat. I noticed you moved your "rain button" over to your bars. I can't say I have ever used mind.

The Voyager mount is a piece of 1 x 3 x 1/8" aluminum angle cut down to size with a small flange remaining at the front. A clear piece of 1/4" lexan is attached to the flange. It acts like a "windshield" to deflect roost and branches. The plastic does not interfere with the antenna signal. I also machined up two 3/8" wide clamps that go around the 7/8" handlebar. I purchased the Trailtech accessory mounting plate, but only used the grommets from that plate.

My biggest complaint with the Voyager is that it can only display tracks two ways. A standard line or a thick line. If it also had a dotted line and a thick dotted line, it would be much more useful. I use the standard line for my map tracks and the thick line for my current track. A dotted line would allow me to differentiate forest roads from single track.

Thanks, I like the idea of having a dash. It would be great if they had a contour mount with a dash. Uncluttered bars by relocating a couple switches to the top bar mount is very appealing.
