oil leak behind the sprocket
hi .
I have 300 that has oil leak behind the front sprocket .is there a cross part or is it just a gas gas seal? thanks |

Standard metric seal. I don't remember the size offhand, but look in the parts manual and the size is likely in the part description. The collar is a GG part though (inexpensive). Good idea to replace both as it grooves slightly over time. There is also an o-ring behind the collar that seals oil from leaking between the collar and shaft. Easy job with carefull use of a Craftsman seal puller.

There is a sleeve seal and 2 o-rings on the shaft. There is an oil seal pressed in the case that seals against the sleeve seal on the shaft. I recommend replacing all of them at the same time.
