Default Clarke tank

Heres a queston for ya.. Right first off im annoyed that someone prior to me who has owned my bike has put a wood screw through the tank to hold the rad scoops on.. on the clarke tanks do the rad scoops still screw direct into the plastic tank?

The two we have both have threaded inserts molded into the tank to hold the shrouds.

Rad guards fit, but (on my 2010 EC300) pushed the ends out so they wouldn't plug into the radiators, zip tied now. Kind of cheezy.

Default red loctite ?

is that red loctite on the 5mm shroud bolts ? why ? blue would be better, IMO...

Strange as it may seem, my first two Gassers had "wood" screws that held the shrouds to the tank. Both bikes came that way from the factory, I was the original owner of both. They were both '99 models, a 200EC, and a 250 XC Six Days.
