I have a 16 yr old old Diamond Back with no suspension that cost me around $800 then. Last year I thought about replacing it with something more modern with a fork. Just an average brand name bike is $1500 - $2000 now. My riding buddy is also an expert downhill mtn bike racer. He has a $4400 downhill bike. Crazy for something without a motor.

With the plastics upgrade is there going to be one available for the colour of the 12 or would we have to change all of the plastics to a new colour scheme. Is there a picture of the new colour? Also are they being shipped out with the airboot still resting on the frame and subframe or is there a new boot shape available also?

And too add to the above:
Will the air boot upgrade( if there is one), be given to us for a reduced price or as a replacement for the one we have got?

It is my understanding that the color will be the same but different graphics. You can buy the 2012 graphics and put on the new stuff or buy 2013 graphics or put your own graphics on.
No pics yet.
Don't know about the airboot yet. BTW...I have not done anything to protect my airboot on the bike I have been riding since February and there is a small groove worn into the boot but it has gotten no where near rubbing through. You guys are worrying too much about this.

I have a very old groove in my 2005. It grooved in a millimeter and then stopped.

No biggy. I suppose if I had it to do over again I'd put some Gorilla tape over it.

Ill second Clay on this, mine is left however it comes form the factory and there isn't even a small sign of a problem. In fact there is very, very few thing I do to my bike at all that deviates from stock.

I'm sure this is posted somewhere but I can't find it - any good jetting specs for '12 GG 300 in humid 90+ degree Louisiana temp and at sea level?? I already went one clip position leaner and one more turn on the air screw but still doesn't clean out / too rich. When I go back in the carb I want to get it right.
