Still running N1EF needle?? Sounds like it's loading up a bit in the lower rpm.

Rod-

Why no EC 250?

Personally, I like 250's and also want lights etc.

I'm sure once they ramp up production, they'll be available.

2017 models came with very weak kick starter pedal and electric starter gears that broke.

Really hope they had fixed it.

^^^ Thanks for bringing that up Leo, the bolt on starter motor is my biggest hesitation in buying a 2018 actually. It looks identical to the 2017 setup, so I'm sure all of us are curious if anything internal has been changed to address the starter issues that have plagued the earlier bikes. I hope so, because relying on warranty repairs/starter parts replacement isn't a real solution. Any technical insight Mark/Rod?

I am also curious if any models will be offered without the e-start, as previous my have? At the very least it should be possible to remove the e-start, as I have seen the enduro gp bike Barragan rides minus the starter. I never felt the need for the button on the gasser..

Not mine but friend's '17 bike

The aluminium on kick starter pedal smash at the open position stopper. (had gone 3 pedals yet )
The gear bolted to flywheel lost few teeths and damage bendix gear.

But, have another friend with another '17 bike (pedal starter only) with kick starter pedal perfect so far. So, seems like it vary from part to part or start technique to technique.

I'd guess technique to technique. I could be wrong but going through 3 kickstarters a year is far beyond just the part. You don't have to actually smash it off the footpeg. All it should need is a half a kick from near TDC to get er running.

It not smash against footpeg. It smash against steel part of kick starter where axle is bolted. So, it start opening beyond its original position.

I am hoping this has changed with the new crowd. GG has been notorious for differences from one bike to the other ... this bike with a 36 carb, that with a 38 carb, etc etc
