Talking A Dream Becomes Reality

Well I was lucky enough to get a Gas Gas like I though about for quite a while.
It's a 2006 Gas Gas EC300.

My first ride was about 3hours long on a half bald front tire.
The front wheel hooks up so well, even with the worn tire.
I am truely in love with a machine.
I have to say, that this bike is the best bike I have ever rode...by far.

I am getting some new springs for my 'geared up' weight.
The kickstarter gear is bad so I'm replacing that.

From what I am reading, I can even get more power with some carb mods.

I can't seem to find any downloadable shop manuals. Are they available?

My fork tubes are blackish in color. I'm assuming this is a low friction coating.
From the download section here, on page 18&28 of the Shivers 45&50, it seems that I have the 50mm.
I don't want to pee my pants yet, but how do I id them for certain?

Anyhow, I'm glad to be here.
Can I change my user name,,,,,it doesn't quite fit anymore

Congrats.

If you think you like how it handles now, just weight, er wait until you get it sprung for your girth.

There are online manuals available in .pdf format.

The lower tubes would be 50mm across, sweet forks for sure. The manuals are all availalbe through this site, go to the manuals tab on the home page. What is greta about the 05-06 is that if you feel like you need a new generation bike you can add the rear end and be current.

Congrats,

Paul
