I fly back to Spain next week for meetings and when i return (unless i meet a Spanish brunette that loves fat old Americans), I will have some news for all that have invested in a GasGas enduro in the past.
Ok mark
This was very clear in your post.
It never crossed my mind that GASGAS would continue to develop Enduro models.
In this sense GASGAS as we know it is over!
My only concern is the parts for the models already sold.
I have no interest in selling my EC 2018.
Hopefully you won't find the Spanish girl and come back with some great news about parts supply.

Thanks for the post and for your attention with us.

Definitely understand your concerns, I have a brand new 2019 EC 300 and I placed a spare parts order for more than 1000 bucks last week as I also fear I wont get any parts in the future. I hate those KTM people, an arrogant bunch of guys who think they rule the world. (I am Austrian btw)

I also hope that Mark may return with some positive facts...

Hi Doc.

Which parts would you recommend storing, for example?

Thanks.

I have ordered a pair of radiators, a subframe, gasket kit for top end, seals for shift and drive shaft, water pump seals, impeller and water pump drive sprocket. I also ordered two complete plastic kits and two sticker kits. The sticker kits are on backorder but they aren't vital...

Ok Doc.
Thanks for your attention.
Do not forget the Chain slider.
GASGAS 18-20 is The only bike on Planet that use this chain slider model...

If you say slider you mean the one at the swing arm front or the chain guide under the swing arm at the rear?

Yes.

Chain slider (front)!

Not Chain guide (rear)!

TMD makes The rear for new ?older? GASGAS.

The problem is front...

Post There's hope...

Well, yes at least hope dies last! Yesterday I could read a letter from the general importer for Germany and Austria to his dealers covering a lot of things and saying that KTM has been fair and will treat them fair, so no worries there. The interesting part was, that the letter said the new GasGas' will be built based on the latest KTM/HQV Models and the bikes will be built in Mattighofen in Austria. The strange thing is, that in the next sentence the letter says that "the old EC-Platform" is going to be sold.

Let that sink in a few moments.

What could it mean for us GG-friends who wont buy anything form KTM whatever plastics they put on? If somebody buys the platform he must have a plan to do something with it. I already have heard that SWM ( https://www.swm-motorcycles.it/ ) could be interested. SWM builds bikes based on the pre 2014 Husqvarnas so maybe they want something better. Who knows? Of course all that is pure speculation, but as said before hope dies last
