2013 and 2014 XC 300 Lighting
Could someone tell me how much wattage is put out on these bikes? And could a dual sport kit be installed?
Thanks! Current bikes owned: 07 EC300 04 EC300 11 Yamaha WR250R |

I'm not up on the current bikes, so look for some specifications on your particular bike. I expect you have the 2K3 flywheel/stator which puts out about 70 watts. The smaller 2K2 puts out about 35 watts.
The 2K3 will handle a dual sport kit, the 2K2 will be marginal. An estart bike has the 2K3 with a half wave rectifier and battery. It will be a split system with some DC output for battery charging and AC output for lighting. I believe a non-estart bike only has a voltage regulator and AC output for lighting.

I have a 14 xc with electric start that is duel sport and have only had one dead battery because I left the key on, one kick and fired right up and recharged the battery. And I can't turn off the head or tail light so charging seems fine as long as its not some ridiculous head light.
