For those who are interested, that is what I found when I opened the engine today:
Although the dealer said he has replaced the nut I found the OEM nut without the cuts in its edges. No Loctite. And that'ts the nut I fitted with Loctite and torqued to 80NM Blocking the gears between clutch and crank with a 5 Eurocent coin worked very well. The coin was bent afterwards :-) |

Require new nut
Hi all, I have just purchased a low hours, 18 only EC300 2019. Looking at my VIN, my bike falls into the replacement category. What?s interesting is the recall says bikes up to 28th December 2018. My bike is plated 01/19, but I guess that production could have been in December. I?m trying to locate a nut in Australia, anyone have a good dealer to use? Or I?ll order from Europe. Anyone know of this actually failing or was it a precaution? Thanks
