Default Steering damper 05 FSE450

I need a steering damper on my 05 FSE 450. What do I need to purchase in order to make this happen? What brand, model etc.? Can I use my stock triple clamp, bars etc.? Thanks!

So many to choose from, I use a WER http://www.werproducts.net/

With the WER there is no problems with mounting, since it mounts in front of the bike under the lower tree and above the fender.

Some guys don't like this, some say it is prone to frontal impact damage??

This is like asking a what is the best tranny oil to use....a everyone has a opinion.

Good luck

I like the idea of a bolt on kit for GG like those.........anyone running them? I've never heard of them, but that doesn't mean they aren't good. I'd be curious to hear how well they work/ hold up!

I've got a GPR on my EC300 but since it came off a KTM I just filed out the head mount.

I would advise getting a damper with an adjuster near the bars so you can easily tune it if you stop for a couple of seconds. The WER will not allow you to do this.

PS on the 450's I noticed a friends around an enduro track was shaking it's head badly but this was because the suspension was so soft - it was also bottoming out with a clang quite a few times - maybe this is your problem also? a stock EC300 round the same track had no stability problems but the suspension was noticeably stiffer as well...

Default Motosportz damper

I am running the Motosportz on my 2008 EC 300 and it works great. Supper easy to install and operate. I like the low profile design and the high quality of the product. I posted some pictures in the forums if you do a search.
