Default Springs for GasGas trial bike.

Hi all,

I think to buy a new GasGas 300 trial. The problem is my weight with gear is around 100-105 KG (220-230 pound).

For what weight's rider does the stock springs suitable ?
What springs do I need ? (front? and shock?)
Doe's GasGas have a line of springs for different weight riders ? (like KTM has for its enduro bikes).

Thanks
Nissan

Welcome Nissan,

I believe you can get different springs for the front if you look hard enough.

You didn't say where you're from. It might make it a bit easier to help you that way.
You could try contacting Dale Malasek @ GasGas USA he'll help ya out.

I'm about the same weight as you with dirt gear (95 kilos nekkid) and haven't resprung my trials bike (280 txt). With trials you need a very soft suspension so it's not as important as it is with a dirtbike. It also depends on what your skill level is, the lower the skill the less you need the upgrade. That being said, I've heard from GG reps and riders that once you get to around 100-105 kilos (right where you 're at) or more a respring starts being a good thing to do. You can get the springs from a GG dealer but they might take a little while to get....

Get the new bike and ride it, meanwhile order the springs and change them when they get in....

Thanks for the answers.
I'm from Israel. Soon we'll have here a GasGas dealer, so I guess he can bring any GasGas part. Even if not, I can order it and have it here in a few days ....

What I didn't understand, is there a part number for stiffer springs, or I must talk with the US dealer ?

Thanks
Nissan
