Default Q: Stainless front brake line?

Is there a Stainless braded steel brake line available for
the GasGas EC-XC line of bikes? I am looking for one for
the newer Nissin caliper equipped models. From around
2000-2003.
If not, is the OEM small diameter teflon/plastic line just
as good for overall feel and stopping power?
From my research, I believe the front brake line from
the CR250R should work. Is this true?
Thanks for your insight.
Jeff

Well, I took the chance and ordered a Russell Steel braided front
brake line for a 2004-2006 CR250R. It fit just fine on my project
XL350SMR Super Moto bike. I used the Nissin front brake caliper
and master cylinder from a 2002 GasGas 300. I needed the new
caliper to fit it to the EBC 320mm rotor and new carrier bracket.
As the old honda caliper would not fit the new carrier bracket.
It is just a tad short though. It could use maybe another inch
or so, but, it works without binding as the brake line passes over
the speedometer cluster..
I'll follow up with a few pictures in a week or so.
Good luck, Jeff

You should be able to get them directly from GasGas if you want. The ISDE and racing edition bikes comes stock with braided steel brake and clutch lines.

The white plastic is pretty sweet, but gets dirty. I just want one of those bikes for the seat and the sachs suspension (especially the forks). Those forks were amazing!
