I imagine this is in my coolant system as well. so will need to drain and flush that. I could just explode right now in fury...

Obviously the coolant and oil mixed hence why I was overheating and the blue sludge. It can't be mixing at the head because there is no oil there, so the only other thing must be the water pump seals must be shot and allowed coolant/oil to mix.

Hopefully that is my only problem. Does my diagnosis sound correct?
Yes, sounds like water pump seal. Cheap and easy fix. Probably the over heating made the seal fail. I just had to replace the seal on my '05. I replaced the seal and then filled the tranny with cheap ATF. Ran the bike up and down the street at low RPM, drained the ATF, and filled with tranny oil. No residual coolant in the tranny at all.

The impeller actually looks fine and there is no oil in the coolant lines as far as I can see, so hopefully it is not in my radiator. I would imagine I would have smelled that burning.

Going to have to clean it up and take off the cover and rebuild the water pump

I will check the impeller as well, anything specific to look for?
Jersey - where did you get your hoses from?
I'd like to order some as well.

I'm on the Matto site and don't see anything for Gas Gas.

Thanks!

This is what your case looks like after your water pump seal fails and all you coolant mixes with your oil.

McDonalds Shamrock Shake...except even thicker.

Everything is cleaned up and put back together with new base and head gaskets and water pump seals.

Time to fire it up and see what happens!

So she is running very poorly. I can't understand it. Good news is there is no mixing of oil/coolant.

You know the sound of a cold 2 stroke when it is rev'd to the moon (studdering and breaking up), that is how my bike runs after warmed up for 20minutes.

Coming to the end of my wits.
