Default securing throttle cable

I have searched and cannot find those really good pics of safety wiring the upper and lower ends of the throttle cable to the housing's.
I remembered, and safety wired my throttle cable at the upper throttle housing. But need an idea how U would secure it at the top of carb with that bend in cable end?
Also, I installed the oem computer on my '03 ec250. And it presses the throttle cable up against the light shroud. I have the cable routed properly, and when I turn the handlebars both direction's, I get no throttle reaction with the bike running. Do U guru's out there think this will be ok? Especially with it safety wired at both ends? Thanks, Bob.

i dont quite understand....... what do you mean secure the cable? mine is just ziptied to the handlebars to prevent it getting pulled by a stray branch. i dont see the need to secure the cable at the top of the carb. it would take a very ambitious stick to even stand a chance at putting it out of sorts. the cable should run right up next to the tank until it gets to the little loop on the frame, where it runs through, up to the handlebars, and to the throttle housing. i guess i dont even see where you would put safety wire on it.

Dank,
You really should at least cable tie it at the throttle housing.... trust me.
I have it cable tied and have still managed to flip it out and start the bike revving uncontrollably.
You just need one stray branch and suddenly you have no worries about stalling.
Cheers Mark

yea, i get that, but what would you cable tie it to? i dont quite understand what you mean. i have the cable zip tied to the handlebars just in front of the throttle housing, but to actually connect it to the throttle housing? or is that what you mean?

I safety wire my throttle cable, both at the top and bottom.

I have one of these handy tools for all my safety wire duties.

Yeh maye, that is what I mean, just two cable ties on the boot just before the throttle housing.
