Since I lug a lot more than I Rev it out, this may be a great mod. I have the 8 ounce one on the bike now and I noticed it but it wasn't a profound impact. Can you have to much toque? Cr500 may be too much. But I may just have to get one since I have already changed my riding style. Hard to call my riding a "style" but you guys get the point.

I too had the 8 oz one. The 23oz actually made a difference while the 8 was subtle. I don't think it makes much difference in the high rpms, not sure the reasoning. But it's the best mod I have made.

To your benefit, the estart does have a flywheel effect, not quite as profound as the 23 ozer, but I would bet more than the 8oz from 2t.

Default 23 ounce flywheel weights

It should fit any and all GasGas 250/300 from 2001 on. Any ignition. The only reason it doesn't fit the 200 is they have a different threaded crank.

The only difference from E-Start to non e-start, regarding the flywheel, is a very light gear that attaches to the existing 2K3 rotor. I would say there is negligible flywheel affect from that skinny ring gear. So, I would bet much less than the 8 oz weight. Plus you can't add a FWW to the e-start, so you either add the weight, or deal with the balky starter.

The flywheel weight effect is multiplied by the radius of the gear. The 8 oz is very narrow negating much of the fw effect. I did some figuring when I looked into producing fww by the hundreds. You could either add weight or add a few mm to radius and gain the same effect. Do you know what the ring gear weighs?
