Default 2010 Gas Gas EC250 Six Days

I just assembled this last night for a customer. It looks like a basic EC250 with different plastic and graphics. It come with all the EC stuff, horn, turn signals, etc. A FMF Turbine Core silencer, red hubs, some red anodized bling, it also came with the emmisions pipe and all the crap that goes with that. Something new was a small skid or glide plate made out of plastic. They also sent a spare sprocket 40 tooth! Who is going to need that unless you plan on going to Bonneville! I love the look of the bike, white fenders and the graphics look great! All it needed was the red forks.

Thumbs up Thanks Rocky Ridge Motosports!

Thanks for all the help on this Claude. I was up until 3:30 last night working on and gazing at her! Got the Scorpion rad guards on, changed the jetting (had a 180 main in it), trimmed the plate holder off, removed the top chain guard and started mounting the hand guards. Hopefully I can get the studs on and do a easy break in ride today.

Wes.

What's wrong with the 180 main just curious.

Really sweet and YES the red annodized forks would look awesome on that bike.

Are those plastic covers on the swingarm or is it powdercoat masked off near the axel. If those are covers and available I want a set.

It looks like its powder coated and then machined where the chain adjusters are. Much better fit and finish on this bike, could almost strip the bike with an 8mm wrench.

The 180 main is way too rich up here, I ended up with a 172 main, a 35 pilot and the needle in the second clip from the top. Ran really nice today for the break in ride.

I gotta say, this is exactly the bike I was hoping it would be. Electric smooth but much stronger throughout the power band than my 07. The suspension is a little harsher than the 07, but I haven't even set the sag or touched the clickers yet. I suspect a little tweaking and break in and it will be every bit as good as the older bike. I don't think the Sachs deserve the bad rap they've been getting lately.

Another thing I noticed too is that the FMF TC2 on this bike is about 2 inches longer than the one on my 07, it is really quiet. Awesome speedo on this bike too, all the features of the older one and it even tells you the outside temperature! Obviously not a necessity but I'm kind of a gadget guy so I thought it was pretty cool.

Wes.

I don't think it changes anything but it is longer than my FMF and my customer says its quieter. Plus it has a spark arrestor on it to make it legal here!
