Very few if any major changes beside the newer manual is all you will find.

Main reason for askin is in the 03 manual the left hand cover revealing the rotor looks different to mine. and what looks like a counter balance shaft. which is not in the manual. I was curious as to how to remove the rotor. In the manual the rotor covers the coils but on my 98 the coils are housed in the casing and the rotor is bolted onto the crank. I was wondering if there is a special tool for removing the rotor.

The '98 has a lighting coil on the outside of the flywheel in the housing(it's a ducati lighting coil), The piece That goes inside of the coil will unscrew from the flywheel,(lefthanded threads), then you use a flywheel puller on the flywheel, it's the same puller as most jap bikes, suzuki for sure, in fact the ignition stator is the same as '91 -'95 RM, I've taken them out of an RM and bolted them right in the gasser without any mods, and the same flywheel as the RM 250 from the same'91-'95

Here are links to the 1999 manuals (in english). I'm assuming the 1998/1999 will be the same. This is the only source I found for these. The quality of the early parts manuals is marginal, but it is better than nothing.

Here is the website in case the links above do not work (note: it is a spanish website).

I have a .pdf of the motor, but, not the chassis.
It is a "parts" list with exploded diagrams.
PM me an email address. It is just under 1 mb.
