CDI Pin 3 Confirmation
Sorry I meant Pin 4. I am converting a KTM CDI wire harness for use with a GG dual map CDI. The GG wire diagram looks like pin 4 is Y/G but I need to make sure. Can anyone please confirm that pin 4 of the CDI connector is Y/G?
Thanks, Tim Last edited by Zman; 01-17-2015 at 10:09 PM. |

What year bike?
The Factory GG web site has wiring diagrams in the owner's manual section. |

This is for a 2010GG CDI but per all the manuals I have seen it looks like the wire goes into pin 4 but there is a gap in the drawing and it does not show it go all the way to the connector. The reason I ask is the KTM harness does not have a wire in the pin 4 position but does in the pin 3 position. I am trying to confirm.

From the 2011 manual. CDI/numbers/colors. I have no way to tell which end is pin 1.

If you look where the wires go into the CDI plug, the end of each row is numbered. I think I may have found my answer via the KTM wire harnesses. The 4 stroke and 2 stroke harnesses are different even though they use the same plug. I believe the GG schematic is correct and the GR/Y wire will be in Pin 4.
