Watched that earlier today. Absolutely insane to walk away from something like that with minor injuries!

These guys where next nothing for protective gear and walk away. Must be very very fit or lucky I guess.

Even though I read the article first and knew he didn't get hurt, it still made me feel sick watching him bail felt in my gut he was gonna break his legs!

Very few of those guys haven't done serious long term damage to themselves, by breaking multiple bones...again, and again. Plus, they start doing this stuff at a very young age, before reason instills fear. I started riding my suspension bikes later, and armour up like a plastic ninja turtle. Those extreme dismounts hurt even with all your gear on. Most Downhillers are experts at epic crashes(the ability to walk away). The last time I had an epic failure on one of mine...Most everyone who saw it thought I'd need a body bag. I walked away, but totaled a $4k bicycle. I was very lucky.
