Power valve noise

Hi guys.....just picked up an '07 ec 300 and i'm noticed a strange slapping noise coming from the power valve area whitch i thought was coming from the chain at first.....is this normal on the GG.

if it's just when you lug it or at low revs, it's pretty normal. you can adjust the preload on the actuator arm to get rid of it..

I had that problem on my i25 but it ended up being the bolt on the main drive gear on the end of the crank. Let's just say not a good ending.

yeah,its just at very low speed and when you let off the throttle.

you should at least open right side power valve cover (remove exhaust) and take a look. it should slap shut when you close the throttle, mine make no noise when i come off throttle...mostly they're noisy kinda chattering chain slap type sound when you lug/are in the wrong gear.
