Default 01 gg 300

hey guys... just found this forum. Bought my first gasgas about a month ago and love it. it is an 01 ec300 that is like brand new. it supposedly has less than 300 miles. it had never been titled before. A friend of mine who owns a honda/kaw shop had it. I can only say wow so many times. It has to be the best ride i have ever been on. Have been on TT so your site looks and searches are way familiar..... looking forward to more seat time !!!!!
thanks for a great product.

Nice score. How does it ride compared to your Yamaha sitting back there?

IMO..... it is no comparison. the yamaha is a 99 yz400f. it is 255lbs and not near as trail rideable, if that is a word. the suz in the background is a 94 rmx250 which is closer to the gasgas, but still 20 lbs heavier.
the yamaha is fast, but it was my first 4 stroke ever, and it never realy fit my riding style.
thanks

I've ridden the 99 YZ400F back to back with my DE250 and all I can say is I couldn't wait to get back on my bike.

Enjoy the new ride!

yes it has the u rims.... this is kinda of a wierd deal, as are most of my deals. I had been talking to a freind of mine who i ride with some who is a honda.kaw dealer. he tried to get a gasgas dealership going some time ago. we were talking about bikes in general and he was telling me about his gg250 that he said was his personal fav and would never sell. I told him I would like to ride one and he showed me the 01 in the pix. he also had an 02 300, the 250, and a four stroke. I rode it at lunch one day around his shop and loved it. He told me it had been in his storage bldg for a couple of years.... never rode. he told me he would take 2200 for it.... so i bought it. Another friend of mine who works there was shocked he sold it that cheap, but that is the deal.

The EC is the full European spec. The XC, and now called a DE, is the USA version.

Basically it has the smaller ignition and flywheel and a none of the turn signals, horn etc, but the majority of the bike is the same.
