E start

How has the reliability of gg e-start been?

Do a few searches. In short not good, but can be made acceptable by fiddling. Can even be made very good if you want to modify a scooter bendix and mate it to the GG gearing.

Mine works adequaterly when the bike is warm, so I would say it's good for restarting duty. Just kickstart the bike at the beginning of the day.

The Honda scooter bendix mod is cheap and easy. I have something in the neighborhood of a bazillion starts on mine. Cold and re-start. I only use the kicker when I'm feeling nostalgic about kicking a motorcycle.

The only other problem I had was the gear on the starter bendix assembly started to spin on the shaft. (This is a KTM problem as well). The assembly is pressed together. I had a friend tig weld it together and it's been working great again. In fact, I took the kids riding yesterday, so, you know, riding with little kids = lots of starts. It worked great all day.

My 2015 300 has never had 1 problem it always has started . I do kick start it when first starting out on cool days .
