Default KYB SSS steering lock...

Can anybody whose done this mod please show me how they've conquered the steering lock. I'm considering just welding the tang on the headstock of the frame, anyone know the dimension of the piece I need to make?

Has photos. I just bolted blocks and could test they were the right size. Then welded.

Welding in the stop will work. I took the easy route and used the heavy duty furniture felt pads on the frame where the forks contact.

I have 5mm rubber ty-wrapped around the fork tubes.

Was going to weld but read about distortion IWO the lower bearing so decided to leave it.

Might mod the clamps some day to replicate the original set up.

Have the races in the freezer so might slam those in tonight, press on the bearings & this could go together.

So far this looks like the most viable to me. Any chance you could measure them at all??

Have you dimensions also? Just need to know own how wide the tang is really. And did you use a mig?

I know I can work these out for myself, it's more that I'm moving house soon and have shutdown at work coming up, so I want to have all the pieces ready !
