I read that KTM had Knight go to the Le Tourquet?? beach race in France even though he wanted to go to Hellsgate.
He rode with an injured hand from a previous mx race and didn't do too well. Something in the 660th? place range.

Yea I read that too.

Knight has had some health problems recently (surgery in December I believe) and probably doesn't need to risk injury at some extreme enduro.

Both he and Braybrook are class acts and alot of fun to follow when the compete against each other. To bad they couldn't both be at Hell's Gate.

In case anyone is doing a search on it. It is spelled "Le Trouquet" and it is one of the biggest annual events in france drawing riders from across europe.

Here's the winner.

[B][Last Sunday saw the running of the famous 'Le Touquet Enduropale' motorcycle beach race on the north west coast of France and for the first time it was a BMW rider on an HP2 Enduro that won the 'holeshot' prize. In heavy wind and rain, local rider Jean-Charles Lenain beat 922 other riders to the end of the three-mile (4.5 km) straight at Merlimont and claimed the Ä1,500 prize.

He must have been using the heated grips and seat option.

Am I the only one who thinks that beamer looks kinda chopper-esq the way those forks are raked out. Wonder how it turns?? Guess you wouldn't want a beast like that with to sharp of a fork rake!!
