Default Clutch cover bolts on 2011 bikes

The 2011 and possibly other late model bikes have 8mm hex head bolts on the clutch cover. The bolts would be fine if not for the fact that they set a bit deep into the cover and none of my T-handles or sockets fit on them as there is not enough clearence between the recess in the cover and the head of the bolt. Was there a model year with a taller head bolt or do I have to go back to a year with the Alan head bolts? They have made good progress in the fastener department, but I'm not a big fan of these shallow head bolts. Lot's of welded in place nuts on the frame though. A big plus in my books.

They are just bolts, standard M6x20, take them to an engineering supply shop and buy some cap screws, or bolts which will fit with your T bars better, be much cheaper and easier than paying a premium for bolts in a gg bag. JMO

oops, I was thinking about my 125, where all the bolts are 6x20.
Sorry, the big bikes use 3 M6x25 and 2 M6x75 with only 20 odd mm of thread.
This is the outer clutch cover, not the clutch case.

Huh? You may have to invest in a SnapOn 8mm socket. Some T handle sockets can have a bigger outer diameter.
