Trying to get my suspension sorted on 99 gasser ec250. After riding it a few times the front wanted to wash out all the time so I checked the suspension settings.

I have adjusted the front forks (conventional type) back to factory setting and after checking the rear the spring had no preload so I added 13mm of preload this means the static sag is now 46mm and race sag is 116mm.

My question is do keep uping the preload to get the static sag closer to 30mm and what is the maximum preload limit.

I'm new to dirt bikes, so slow but I would rather start with bike set up properly but not as full racer. Thanks Chris
